Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ finally released yesterday after months of anticipation and highly brewed excitement. The biopic which sheds light on the life of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar is a major throwback to those days when you heard the chant ‘Sachin Sachin’ almost everywhere. It shows glimpses of his personal and professional life which nobody had a chance to know till now.
The movie which released in 2400 screens in India and 400 screens overseas did fairly well on it’s first day of release. The film almost had 40% occupancy in most places inspite Friday being a working day. It is expected to pick up a great deal in the upcoming days after all the steam of Baahubali is finally dying down which will give the Baahubali of cricket the chance to carry it forward.
Sachin’s biopic minted Rs 8.4 crores on the first day which is good enough and will surely speed up in the upcoming weekend.
